about

Bram Faber is no stranger to the Savvy Records répertoire, having his first full-length album 'Brabecore', released with us just last year. Now we showcase an entirely different side of Bram we have only recently been exposed to, Looking Ears ― a sweet, tongue-in-cheek mini-album spawned from the ashes of deconstructionist electronic music. Melancholic chords and moody strings take us away on an unexpected journey thorough nostalgia and innocence, yet remains true to Bram's quirky juxtaposing style much like his more well known work as Brabe.

'M16' reigns upon us with slammin' organ keys and noisy basslines, while 'Saccharine' flaunts before your eyes like a precious piece of candy just waiting to unveil the killer korgs inside. But one of the most intriguing parts about this album to us are it's vocal samples ― such as in 'Dunes' or 'Rite'. Something you could have expected to hear Bram use ironically in one of his other crazy dancefloor flings. 'Morning Already' wraps up the LP with a sentimental after-hours chiller, just in time to catch the sunrise and some morning dew. Nihilistic and romantic, a definite must have for die-hard collectors and fans of Bram Faber's work.
