Savvy Records is kicking off the new year with a beautiful EP from a new kid from Connecticut. Already gaining recognition from well established producers around the world, Eddie Merced says he has only been producing for a few years. While his sound is clearly contemporary, his musical influences precede that going back as far as Afrika Bambaataa & The Soul Sonic Force, Planet Patrol, Freeez and many other old school electro-funk and freestyle records.

‘Our Souls at Night’ is Eddie’s debut EP on Savvy, exploring the more refined meta-space between deep house and techno. Inspired by New York City nightlife,‘Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.’ echos the atmosphere associated with the cosmopolitan epicenter. Dreamy and cosmic, this EP is straight up quality control.
