Grabbing the attention of Kissy Sell Out on BBC Radio 1, DJ Discrete has been generating noise on radio waves since the age of eighteen years old ― not to mention his debut EP 'To All The Killers' being released by Brickhouse Records all the way in Germany. A jack of all trades ― producer, DJ, visual artist, sculptor ― this kid knows what he’s doing. And with tour dates booked in Europe at the age of twenty-one, we’re not the only one’s who noticed.

'Watching My Moves' is an extension of this multidisciplinary approach, and Kyle's debut release on his man-made label. Kyle's background in fine arts has served him well when it came to envisioning and marketing the company. Creating top-quality album covers and now his own artwork for the EP, the art has already graced the walls of several art galleries in Toronto.

The EP gets us in the zone with a mysterious one-shot sample, and sets a quirky mood for the rest of record. 'You Know I'll Make It' leads us in with a visceral intro of familiar vocal chords in an contrived choir, and abruptly diverges into a thumping minimal house track loaded with more great vocals and horny whispers. 'La Musique' is a retro homage to classic Techno music, reminiscent of an old school Lil' Louis or Robert Hood production. Kyle's ability to communicate on various levels is reflected in it's bi-lingual lyrics. 'Bonus Beats' is exactly that, a bouncing loot-bag containing all sorts of percussive hooks demonstrating the art of sampling, assemblage versus ready-made music.

Not much else needs to be said except to catch this baby-faced DJ before he blows up.
